The purpose of the Friends of the Library is to encourage public interest and support of the Library, to cooperate with the Library staff and Library Board in providing Library services and facilities; to organize and implement fund-raising projects; to sponsor special programs of interest to adults and children.
Come to a Meeting
The Friends meet at the library on the second Thursday of each month at 10:00. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Become a Volunteer
The Friends maintain a book store in the library building that allow individuals to take a book home to keep for a small donation. Keeping the book store stocked is something that needs to be done regularly and help is always welcomed.
Would you rather help out just once a year?
There is always something to do to prepare for the book sale. Provide bake goods. Help sort books. Organize books by author, genre, or subject. Help during the book sale. Assist with the setup or the cleanup. Of course, helping with the setup means you get to see what’s for sale BEFORE the sale.
Book Sale
The Friends of the Library have changed their book sale to be an annual event. This will be in the month of July. Check the events calendar for the specific dates.
