Chalk Art Event

No Registration Required

Join us the week before the fair July 27- July 31 @ the library to decorate and BE CREATIVE on the sidewalks of the library!

 


Potato Decorating Contest

Come into the library to pick up your potato July 27, 2009 9:00am-3:00pm. Design a costume and/or decorate your potato. BE CREATIVE! 

Return to the library with your completed potato OR take a picture of it and email it to AROBERTS@ci.jerome.id.us.

-         Include your name, address, phone number or email and age with your potato or photo.   

Your potatoes will be displayed at the fair August 1- 8, 2009 and everyone visiting the fair booth that week will be asked to vote.   

The entry with the most votes in each age group will win a hardcover book.  

  Age Groups:  

1-5 years old       

6-8 years old 

9-11 years old  

 

Entries must be received by July  31, 2009 One entry per person!

  Art Contest                

                     Start: June 1st, 2009- August 10, 2009

Ages: Birth- 5th Grade

Where: Submit entries @the Jerome Public Library

Rules:

Each individual can only submit two pieces of artwork/performance for the contest.

  • - One piece per category

All artwork must be respect yourself, respect others and respect the space.

Art work must to be in by August 10, 2009 @ 5:00pm.

Conclusion:

Art will be judged and awards will be presented Friday August 21, 2009 @ 5:00pm at the Summer Arts Festival at the Jerome City Library.

Categories:

"Now You See It"- Visual Arts: Watercolor, Oil Painting, Marker, Pencil, Crayon, Photography and Digital Art.

  • - Each piece of art needs to be framed, laminated or matted.
  • - Each piece of art needs to be at least 5"X7" but no larger then 8"X12"

"Now You See It 3D"- 3D Media: Pottery, Clay, Paper Art, Fabric, Knitting and Scrapbook.
